What are Valorant Melee Skins?

Valorant melee skins are cosmetic items that change how your knife or melee weapon looks in game. Every agent starts with a basic knife, and melee skins replace it with something different — from katanas to butterfly knives to magical orbs. They do not change gameplay, only the visual appearance.

How to Get Knife Skins in Valorant

Knife skins are available through the in-game store using Valorant Points (VP). Some are sold individually, others as part of full skin bundles. A handful come from the Battle Pass each episode. Exclusive skins from events like VCT are only available during those limited windows.

Exclusive and VCT Knives

Some of the rarest melee skins come from Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) events. These team collaboration skins, like the VCT 2025 Karambit, are only available for a limited time during the event period and often carry regional variants. Once gone, they do not return to the store.

Knife Skin Upgrades and Chromas

Most knife skins have multiple upgrade levels unlocked with Radianite Points. Higher levels add VFX, sound effects, and kill animations. Chromas change the color scheme of the skin and are unlocked separately. This site shows all available levels and chromas for every melee skin.
